Fundraiser and silent auction for fallen firefighters

Ann O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Deli owner John Cunningham announced to local Historic City News reporters that a fundraiser to benefit the families of nineteen fallen Prescott Arizona firefighters who perished in the line of duty on June 30, will be held from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21st.

The Granite Mountain Hotshot Crew, who died fighting the Yarnell Hill fire, will be honored by members of the International Association of Fire Fighters Union Locals 3865 and 2282, the St Johns County Fire-Rescue Department and St Johns County Pink Heals with Ashley the Pink Fire Truck during the fundraiser being held at Ann O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Deli located at 23 Orange Street in St Augustine.

“In the spirit of brotherhood that extends across the nations’ firefighting profession, we are proud to offer our support for fallen comrades,” Cunningham told Historic City News. “All proceeds will be donated to the Prescott Firefighters charity.”

The union locals are soliciting donations to support the silent auction being held during the fundraising event.

Ann O’Malley’s is donating a portion of the day’s sales, as well as having “guest” wait staff from both firefighter unions. “All tips from that day, and 100% of the sales of Guinness, will be donated to the charity as well,” Cunningham added.
