The Ancient City Poets will hold a free poetry reading on Sunday May 26 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Gallery Café of St Augustine, according to an announcement received by Historic City News today.
All poets and poetry lovers are welcome to attend and participate during the event, located at 1974 US-1 in the Staples Plaza.
“After opening comments and introductions, each poet will approach the podium with their May Day, Mother’s Day or Memorial Day observations,” said Richard Cardon, a frequent reader at St Augustine’s longest running poetry series. “These free events are open to all ages and skill levels; and, have been happening on the last Sunday of every month since August of 2009.”
The reading will conclude when all who wish to read their words have shared.
