During business to come before the St Johns County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, were two appointments to the Cultural Resource Review Board — re-appointed for a four-year term scheduled to expire May 21, 2017 were St Augustine City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline and community activist Gerald Eubanks.
This Board was established by the County Commission July 29, 1999 as part of the County’s Land Development Code. There are supposed to be nine members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners with representation from each of the five County Commission Districts and four at-large members.
Appointees shall be qualified through the demonstration of special interest, experience or education in the preservation of the County’s Historic Resources. At least two members shall have practical and professional experience in one or more of the following fields: archaeology, architecture, architectural history, history or historic preservation.
The County Commission Liaison to the Cultural Resource Review Board is Cyndi Stevenson, and the County Staff Support person is Historic Resource Specialist, Robin Moore.
