Chairman of the Saint Augustine Tea Party, Dave Heimbold, announced to Historic City News that, with the state legislature back in session, now more than ever is the time for local citizens to “get off the LazyBoy” and get involved.
Starting March 12th, Heimbold reported that a membership push is underway to boost awareness of the Tea Party and Town Crier Committee’s conservative, grass-roots organization.
“The bills in this session of the legislature look like a leftist wish list,” Heimbold wrote. “To keep you up to date on the bizarre list of bills before the House and Senate, the Town Crier Committee is adding a daily tab about what is happening in Tallahassee.”
Heimbold pointed out that the Saint Augustine Tea Party has been meeting continually at the Village Inn each week for the past two years.
“Come on out Tuesday evening and get back in the game,” Heimbold encouraged Historic City News readers. “And bring a friend for pie, coffee, tea and a full menu before the meeting; food and beverages are ala carte.”
If you plan to attend the new membership drive, the meeting time is 6:30 p.m., Tuesday March 12th, at the Village Inn located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St Augustine. Heimbold can be reached for more information by calling 904-553-7312.
