Tour Saint Augustine Inc has announced to Historic City News that they will host the Center for Black Culture and Research from West Virginia University on March 25th and 26th.
Those traveling to St Augustine will visit a number of important local historic sites including Fort Mose and Lincolnville as part of their research program.
“St Augustine has played a very important role in the Civil Rights Movement and Black History in America, and we’re thrilled to showcase that heritage for this group and for the rest of the country” says Adam Shockey, President and CEO of Tour Saint Augustine Inc.
They will meet with local City officials and hold discussions with the St Augustine Foot Soldiers as well as scholars from the 1960’s Civil Rights movement.
