Velo Fest appoints Breidenstein operations manager

Historic City News was notified today that Ann H. Breidenstein, who recently retired as the Executive Director of the United Way of St Johns County, has been appointed operations manager of the local non-profit community initiative, Velo Fest.

Word came to our local news desk from Velo Fest director Heather Neville; who credits Breidenstein for nurturing the growth of United Way over the last 23 years.

“She brings nearly twenty-five years of non-profit executive and management experience to our relatively young organization,” Neville said of Breidenstein’s qualifications.”

Breidenstein currently serves on the board of PACT Prevention Coalition, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida, and she was recently appointed an Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 6970. She has served in numerous local civic leadership roles, including Club President of Rotary Club of St Augustine, Chairman of St Johns County School Readiness Coalition, and founding board member of St Johns County Habitat for Humanity and St Johns Housing Partnership.

Velo Fest Community Initiative, a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization, promotes awareness of bicycle safety, healthy lifestyles through cycling activities, environmental enhancements for safe cycling, historical and cultural awareness, and the economic impact that cycling brings communities through tourism and transportation for visitors.
