Accused child molester held without bond

Mark Samson informed local Historic City News reporters this morning that an arrest has been made after a case worker called police to assist in talking to the family of a child who claimed that she was molested by another family member.

During the investigation, conducted by the St. Augustine Police Department, DCF and the University of Florida Child Protection Team, sufficient evidence was uncovered to obtain a felony arrest warrant for 71-year-old Dale Allan Jackson who resides at 258 Spring Street in St Augustine.

Jackson has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior for the molestation of a victim less than 12-years-old where the offender is 18-years-old, or older.

He remains in custody at this time since his arrest at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night, without bond.
