Investigators from the Florida Highway Patrol brought charges today against the driver in the fatal traffic crash that occurred on March 28, 2013.
Killed in the crash were 20-year-old Alyssa June Nearbin and 24-year-old Joey Lee Stevens.
Two additional passengers, 21-year-old Dylan Everett Charles and 18-year-old Erin Brooke Aderhold were critically injured in the collision.
“After months of extensive research, the investigation has concluded,” a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit in Jacksonville told Historic City News. “Hosston Cole Bishop, was read the charges against him for his involvement in the crash at the Regional Medical Center in Lake Butler earlier today.”
Bishop was charged with 2-counts of Vehicular Homicide, 2-counts of Reckless Driving resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, and Failure to Use Safety Restraint.
He was previously booked in the St. Johns County Jail on unrelated charges.
