Detectives and traffic homicide investigators are currently investigating a hit-and-run traffic fatality involving a bicyclist in the area of Hilltop Road, according to a report received by Historic City News today.
Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the area near Kings Estate Road at 6:53 a.m. this morning and located the body of 26-year-old Madison Jacob Meyer of Orlando.
A damaged bicycle was located nearby which appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.
The initial investigation revealed the bicyclist was traveling south on Hilltop Road when he was stuck from behind. Detectives believe the incident possibly occurred sometime early Sunday morning.
