Education: A bachelor’s degree in English from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass. She participated in an MBA program at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., by taking quantitative coursework in statistics and accounting.

Career/employment: Shaver is a consulting principal in Experian Marketing Services Strategic Consulting Practice. She has more than 25 years of experience leading marketing organizations and delivering data, analytical, and technical services. Shaver was a principal and founder of 6C Consulting, a marketing business. She has held senior management positions at MCIWorldCom and Claritas.

Hometown: She was born at a hospital in Mount Kisco, N.Y., but at the time her parents were living in Litchfield, Conn. Because her father was in the military, the family moved frequently.
