Assistant State Attorney and Public Information Officer, Spencer Hathaway, reported to Historic City News this afternoon that 41-year-old Tawny Lynn Blazejowski will spend the next 9-years in a state prison facility after being convicted today for aggravated stalking directed at a former boyfriend and his family members over a period of 8 months.
Circuit Judge J. Michael Traynor heard testimony for more than 4-hours detailing how Blazejowski made false reports to law enforcement about crimes that never took place, made false allegations of abuse to the Department of Children and Families, phoned Crime Stoppers with false criminal leads, and falsified allegations of extra-marital affairs between the victim and his coworker.
Ultimately, the former boyfriend lost his job, was arrested, and was investigated by several state agencies due to the false claims made by Blazejowski.
The stalking continued between September 24, 2012 and April 5, 2013. On August 14, 2014, Blazejowski, who resided at 1307 Fireside Court in St Augustine, pled “no contest” to 3-counts of threatening or extorting others, 4-counts of aggravated stalking, and 1-count of falsely reporting child abuse or neglect.
Upon her release from prison, Blazejowski will be placed on 2 years of house arrest followed by 4 years of probation.
