Historic City News was informed that a swearing-in ceremony was held at noon today at the St. Augustine Fire Department on Malaga Street; recognizing four new firefighters being added to the ranks of the city’s firefighting elite.
Fire Chief JC Costeira administered the oath of office to the new employees.
Each of the four firefighters were presented with their badges by family members, friends and colleagues.
Joining the department today are Sean Crofutt, Nathan Evans, Timothy Schmitt, and Abigail Taylor.
Fire Marshal Bob Growick joined Chief Costeira and other members of the department to welcome the new firefighters aboard.
