Paul K. Williamson, the city’s Public Affairs Director, invites Historic City News readers to tune to 88.5 FM Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. when City Manager John Regan stops by “The Break Room” to offer a look ahead to city projects in 2014 as well as a few “look-backs” to 2013.
Wherever you work, the break room is usually a place where co-workers can converse in a relaxed environment. That’s the idea behind WFCF/Flagler College Radio’s program; called appropriately, “The Break Room”. The 15-minute weekly program offers a behind-the scenes look at the workings of city government through interviews with people key in the city’s day-to-day operations.
Since the program started airing in late February 2010, guests have included over fifty division supervisors, department managers and crew leaders from every sector of city staff.
Williamson, now in his 12th year as Public Affairs Director, is a 1977 graduate of Flagler College, and says he’s proud of this opportunity.
He told Historic City News that he would like listeners to say “I didn’t know that”, at some point during each program.
