This afternoon, Sergeant Catherine Payne reported to Historic City News that detectives in the Northeast District were able to identify and arrest the woman they say attempted to burglarize Regions Bank located at 240 Ponte Vedra Park Drive on March 15, 2014.
At the time of the crime, deputies collected surveillance video of the automatic teller machine that showed someone tampering with and attempting to force open the device.
“We are holding Emily Rosati Gravitt, a 33-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach woman, who was identified from a social media update published by our department,” Payne to local reporters. “A vigilant citizen recognized Gravitt from the video and made an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers, alerting our detectives working the case.”
Gravitt was arrested without incident and has been charged with attempted burglary to a business and criminal mischief. She is being held in the St Johns County Detention Facility without bond tonight, until her first appearance hearing in the morning.
