Darius Rucker performs to full house

Historic City News special events photographer, Mark Cubbedge, reported that last night’s lineup for the Darius Rucker concert at the St Augustine Amphitheatre included the Eli Young Band and Corey Smith.

Rucker rose to fame with his band, “Hootie and the Blowfish”, and their hit single “Let her cry”. From there on, this country and rock artist has never looked back.

He has gone on to make a solo career for himself.

The first solo single for Rucker “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” has been charting in the number 1 spot of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.

Rucker is the first African-American artist whose country song has hit the number 1 spot, according to Billboard reviews.
