On Saturday, October 11th The Feast of Our Lady of La Leche was celebrated with a solemn mass at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Augustine. Celebrant was Bishop Felipe J. Estevez, head of the northeastern Florida diocese, which is the oldest diocese in the United States.
Bishop Estevez made remarks about the history of the first documented parish Mass in America that took place in what is today the Mission Nombre de Dios.
