Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Downtown St. Augustine
Complete nighttime closure of Cathedral Street from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday from Charlotte Street to St. George Street for work on the Cathedral. Detour is Charlotte Street to King Street to St. George Street.
The sidewalk, parking lane and one travel lane will be closed on Cathedral Street from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday from Charlotte Street to St. George Street for work on the Cathedral.
Daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Cordova Street and King Street adjacent to the Casa Monica hotel for painting the building. Also, daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on King Street and St. George Street adjacent to the Lyon’s building for painting the building. Interstate 95
Nighttime lane closures from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday from the Duval County line to the Flagler County line for resurfacing.
State Road 16
Daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Clay County line to San Marco Avenue.
State Road A1A
A police-escorted bicycle parade from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday will begin at 380 A1A/ Beach Boulevard and travel approximately 1.5 miles in each direction along State Road A1A/ Beach Boulevard on the road and sidewalk.
Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from the Alligator Farm to State Road 312 to edge along the sidewalks.
Daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Duval County line to Mickler Road.
U.S. 1
Shoulder closures from County Road 210 to the Nocatee flyover and daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Palm Valley Road to the Nocatee flyover for construction at County Road 210.
Daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to the Duval County line.
