Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Bicycle Event – Tour de Cure (America Diabetes Association)
No lane closures are scheduled, but expect increased bicycle traffic Saturday, May 17, on State Road 13 and on various local and county roads.
Downtown St. Augustine
The third annual VeloFest bicycle event will increase bicycle traffic Friday through Sunday. A bike parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday will start at the parking garage at West Castillo Drive, continue down Orange Street and end at Sevilla Street. The Wrigley Ride will start at 7 a.m. Saturday and travel along King Street, Cathedral Place, and Charlotte, Cordova, Valencia and Sevilla Streets. The SYCO race will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday in Elkton and include possible heavy bicycle traffic on State Road 207.
Daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Cordova and King Streets adjacent to the Casa Monica hotel for painting the building. Also, daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on King and St. George Streets adjacent to the Lyon’s building for painting the building. I-95 from U.S. 1 to County Road 210
Nighttime slow-moving operations from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to install raised pavement markers along the roadway.
Ponte Vedra Boulevard (State Road A1A)
Possible delays from 2-8 p.m. Monday during commercial filming from the Six Mile Boat Ramp to approximately one mile north.
State Road 207
Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday from Old State Road 207 in Hastings to Rose Street in Elkton for shoulder repairs.
U.S. 1
Tentative daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to sunset Saturday and Sunday just south of State Road 206 while TECO Peoples Gas inspects a service line in the area and makes repairs if necessary.
Shoulder closures from County Road 210 to the Nocatee flyover and daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Palm Valley Road to the Nocatee flyover for construction at County Road 210.
Daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to the Duval County line.
