The steering committee of St. Augustine’s visioning project held its initial workshop on today, Saturday, April 5th. The two and a half hour meeting, which began at 9:00am in The Alcazar Room of City Hall, was attended by about 30 members of the public.
The steering committee held an organizational meeting in January, but this is the first meeting with the group’s facilitator, Herb Marlowe, whose firm, Analytica, was selected for the project.
The focus of this workshop was exploring processes available to the community as it works to formulate a united vision of the future. The workshop included a number of active participation exercises in which the public was invited to participate along with the steering committee.
The workshop is available for on-demand viewing under “Miscellaneous meetings”.
Chaired by City Commissioner Roxanne Horvath, the steering committee is comprised of appointments made by the city commission, each commissioner appointing three people drawing from among the city’s residential, business and institutional communities.
The City established a website for citizens interested in following the visioning process. You can visit the site at http://visioningstaug.com
