Flagler College president, Bill Abare, will join City Manager, John Regan, on Wednesday, September 10th at 8:30 a.m. for the first of a planned series of joint public meetings aimed at improving communications between residents, city government, and our largest downtown neighbor, Flagler College.

The meeting offers an opportunity to have a cup of coffee in an informal, get-acquainted setting with two of the city’s most influential leaders. Face-to-face discussions of issues of mutual interest and concern can be the surest way to reach workable agreements with the least amount of difficulty.

“We are calling them Town and Gown meetings,” Regan told Historic City News. “If the interest is there, we would like to hold future meetings on different days and at different times of day to make them as open as possible for the public to participate.”

If you are able to stop by the inaugural meeting, join your neighbors in the community, residents and business operators alike, in The Alcazar Room, on the ground floor of City Hall, located at 75 King Street in St Augustine. The meeting is open to the public.
