Pastor Justin Vargas and Pastor JoAnna Vargas have invited all Historic City News readers to join them and the Greater Love Ministries family for the dedication of their new church home; located at 555 SR-16 in St Augustine.
After twelve years of worship at their former St Augustine Shores location, Greater Love Ministries, a Christian ministry of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, will convene at 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning, for this special occasion in the church’s history.
“We were very thankful for all who came out and were blessed by our Christmas musical, The Gift,” Pastor Vargas told local Historic City News reporters. “I look forward to seeing everyone during our building dedication service, followed by a free meal and fellowship in our new hall.”
Special speakers for the day will be former church member and associate pastor, Joe Valentino, and Elena Bozzi, who has ministered to the church in a most powerful way in the past. As always, the leaders will inspire the church with lively, contemporary songs that draw the congregation into worship and the presence of God.
Pastor Vargas told Historic City News that the reason for the relocation is simple — to be “closer to the action” in helping to meet the real needs of the people in the nation’s oldest city. “This church, with a heart to love and serve people, has found more opportunities than ever before.”
Some thirsting for a deeper relationship with God, and an abandonment of self in the worship of God, have found Greater Love Ministries to offer an encouraging environment with which to enter into the realities of a dynamic, Spirit-filled life.
