Dear Editor and Historic City News readers:

First, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Thank you to my wife Christina. Your love & support throughout this race has been incredible. I love you so much!

Thank you to my family, friends, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who voted for me. I am eternally grateful to all of you for all of your hard work, the countless hours of your valuable time, and the buckets of sweat campaigning in Florida in August! Thank you for the belief you had in me and the values of our campaign.

Along with you, we gave our all to this campaign, and we left it all on the field. We may have come up just short, however the issues we talked about did not. We brought attention to looming problems of debt and the spending that created it, and our county government will have to address it.

I congratulate Jay on his win, and thank Denver for being willing to put himself out there as well. Competition is a good thing. In business, competition make products and services better; and in a campaign, it makes the candidates and eventual winner better.

Nothing really changes for me. I have a great career that I enjoy, I have an amazing wife who I am proud to share my life with, and I live in a county that is a little slice of heaven on earth. Now, I just have a lot more friends.

I am not going anywhere. I love this community and will continue to actively work to make it better.
