Florida Public Archaeology Network has invited all Historic City News readers to join them as they celebrate International Archaeology Day all month long with lots of great events; including two right here in St Augustine.
The schedule promises a little bit of everything, including presentations, workshops and a bar crawl.

Oct 16 at 6pm – “Historic Cemeteries as Outdoor Museums” talk at the Daytona Beach Library
Oct 18, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm
How did prehistoric Floridians use animals to adapt to their environment? Join us to learn how they used shells, bones, hides, teeth and more to create tools, houses and hunting and fishing kits. The cost of the workshop is $10 and includes the presentation and hands-on activities.
