Letter: Commission candidate campaigning on county property

Dear Editor:

I have notified Flagler County Administrator Craig M. Coffey that I will be at the next Board of County Commissioners meeting and I have requested that this photo be publicly shared on the overhead monitors for all in attendance to see during my 3 minute public participation.

County Commissioner Nate McLaughlin served Flagler County in appointed positions for many years before becoming the Flagler County Commissioner for District 4. Now he is running for re-election.

Since when does the Board allow anyone, much less a sitting commissioner, to park a trailer taking up seven parking spaces for political advertising?

It is my understanding that you personally inspect for lawn signs onsite at the library.

This is outrageous campaigning on county property was conducted AGAIN today @ 1:11 p.m. by Commissioner McLaughlin.

These actions need to cease and desist.
