FDOT District Two Public Information Director, Gina Busscher, cautions Historic City News readers that US-1 north, in the Nocatee area, is scheduled to be closed overnight for five nights beginning Sunday night because of work on the new CR-210 overpass.
Beginning Sunday night at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning, all four lanes of US-1 will be closed to allow the new overpass bridge beams to be placed over the roadway. The closures will continue each night through Thursday.
Traffic will be detoured to Valley Ridge Boulevard and Nocatee Parkway.
Florida Department of Transportation is overseeing the construction of the overpass for CR-210 traffic to travel over US-1 and the adjacent FEC Railroad. The $9.9 million project began last March and 60 percent of the work has been completed with an expected completion this summer, depending on weather or other unforeseen conditions.
