Are restraining orders interfering in your love life?
Media Relations Officer Kelshaw informed local Historic City News reporters that an arrest has been made of a 24-year-old Palm Coast man; accused of fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and aggravated stalking with additional charges pending further investigation.
Andrew Dane Dandurand, who lives in Palm Coast, was booked into the St Johns County Detention Facility yesterday where he is being held, without bond, following his first appearance hearing.
AIN’T LOVE GRAND —
Kelshaw reported that the incident began late Sunday afternoon when the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office received information that Dandurand had allegedly armed himself with a stolen gun and was said to be planning to kill a former girlfriend, her current boyfriend, and then, himself.
Deputies located Dandurand’s former girlfriend. She informed them that she was aware of the threats made against her. According to the report, the intended victim believed that Dandurand was carrying an assault rifle.
A perimeter was established, and, before long, Dandurand was observed about a mile from the former girlfriend’s home. Dandurand attempted to flee a traffic stop; allegedly driving recklessly over an embankment, running a red light and driving southbound in the northbound lane on US-1.
In order to stop the dangerous operation of the motor vehicle, deputies performed a
P.I.T. maneuver using their patrol vehicle; causing Dandurand to drive into a ditch where he was secured without further incident.
Dandurand was found in possession of a fully loaded SKS assault rifle that was allegedly stolen in a Flagler County burglary. The investigation is continuing.
