Procurement professionals, academic researchers, industry leaders and government policymakers from around the globe will gather from August 14-16 to discuss the latest research on challenges and solutions to enhance the ability of governments to work with the private sector to successfully deliver public services and infrastructure to citizens.
The topic of Saviak’s presentation is “Public-Private Partnerships for Transportation Infrastructure: Challenges for State and Local Government Public Procurement in the United States.”
Saviak recently co-wrote a guide with University of Central Florida Professor Lawrence Martin to explain how elected officials and administrators can successfully employ contracting for public services and public-private partnerships in ways that ensure quality while decreasing costs.
The guide is being distributed free of charge to all local governments in the State of Florida made possible by a grant from the Government Services Partnership Institute.
