Body of missing person found at scene of ATV crash

Commander C. E. Mulligan informed local Historic City News reporters that the body of a 27-year-old missing person, Robert Michael Humphreys, has been located and identified.

About 30 minutes after arriving to take the missing person report at the residence off Wildwood Drive in St Augustine, deputies received a call from FEC Railway Police reporting that they were investigating a train crash involving an all-terrain vehicle on the tracks near SR-206.

When deputies arrived to follow-up on what was first believed to be an abandoned vehicle on FEC property, officers located Humphreys’ body nearby.

There is no foul play suspected at this time, however the investigation is continuing. The cause of the crash and additional details will be released when they become available.
