Canvassing underway at Supervisor’s Office

Historic City News editor Michael Gold went to the Supervisor of Elections Office to check in on the canvassing board; including Judge Chuck Tinlan, Commissioner Bill McClure, and Supervisor Vicky Oakes.

Even though city and county government offices will be closed tomorrow in observance of Good Friday, early voting locations will be open Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM each day.

“Election officials and volunteers are canvassing previously mailed ballots received so far; however, nearly half of about 12,000 ballots mailed early to voters, are still in the voter’s hands,” Gold reported. “While I’m here, I’m walking next door and casting my ballot.”

Bring your completed absentee ballot to any open early voting location: Julington Creek Annex, Ponte Vedra Branch Library, Supervisor of Elections Office, St. Augustine Beach City Hall, Southeast Branch Library, or Hastings Town Hall, or drop it in the 24-hour ballot collection box in front of the Supervisor of Elections Office.
