Additional charges were filed against a man and woman who eluded capture overnight according to an update received by Historic City News this evening.
Special Victims’ Unit Detectives signed charges of two counts each of felony child abuse against the pair late this afternoon.
The suspects, identified as Andrew Phillip Cherry, 22, and Lee Ann Renee Mosher, 24, both of 354 Juanita Ave., were charged in the St. Johns County Jail while awaiting a first appearance hearing Saturday on attempted murder and principal to attempted murder charges respectively.
SVU Detectives signed the charges after learning that Cherry and Mosher forced her two children, a four year old male and a ten month old female, into a wooded area and abandoned house overnight while eluding capture.
The children had sustained multiple insect bites as well as small scrapes when Cherry and Mosher fled from the Juanita Ave home Thursday evening. The children were taken to Flagler Hospital where they were treated and released into DCF custody.
