For those Historic City News readers who have been following the recent developments with the vacant property located at the intersection of San Marco Avenue and May Street, we have obtained the documents from the settlement between the City of St Augustine and the owners, First Coast Development and 7-Eleven.
The City has not commented on its plans for the property, but those close to the discussions believe the City will make the property available to the Florida Department of Transportation to incorporate into its plans for the controversial intersection. FDOT held a public open house to share suggested solutions currently under consideration; but, as of Tuesday, none of those suggestions require the City property.
