Commemorating 450 years – AND 15 years

On September 8, 2015, we will commemorate an important milestone in our existence; 450 years since Admiral Pedro Menendez led about 600 voyagers to establish the permanent military colony of St Augustine.

Historic City News celebrates its own milestone this year, as well. On March 18, 2000, we registered the historiccity.com domain name and began publishing a periodic weekly e-newsletter of government and business news for about 200 subscribers. By March 2008, we migrated onto our interactive platform, and have continued to develop the polished collaborative that we publish today.

In celebration of the past 15 years, we are upgrading our systems, appearance, content, and redefining our mission for the next 15 years. We’re rolling out our new logo now and you will notice several improvements in the coming weeks.

Our continuing commitment to my home town has never been more steadfast. Stay tuned for the exciting year ahead.
