February was designated a Month of Forgiveness and Compassion in the city through a mayoral proclamation. St. Augustine Mayor Nancy Shaver told Historic City News that she supported the effort in honor of 450 years of past events that have included both hurt and healing.
“St. Augustine looks forward to continued reconciliation on behalf of current and future generations,” Mayor Shaver said.
Cassatly will offer her presentation, “500 Shades of Forgiveness”, Tuesday evening at the Corazon Cinema and Café on Granada Street at 7:00 p.m. Dinner is available for purchase, admission to the presentation is free.

The Forgiveness Project’s acclaimed international photo documentary exhibit remains on display at the Corazon Cinema and Cafe through the end of the month.
The Power of Forgiveness
This documentary film, including feature stories on the Amish, the 9/11 tragedy, and peace-building in Northern Ireland, will be presented at the Corazon Cinema and Café on February 22, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Donations are accepted, admission to the presentation is free.
Byron Katie Forgiveness Workshop
Byron Katie Forgiveness Workshop with Celia Chapman will take place on February 24th, 12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m. at The Mission House, located at 139 M L King Ave., in St. Augustine.
