Historic City News readers are invited to stop by one of the market stops this afternoon for a sample of the seriously yummy (and healthy) lentil salad. And while you’re here, take a peek at what other goodies are aboard.
From red and green to brown and black, lentils are a member of the legume family, and are super high in protein– and a great source of iron too.

Most of the produce on the Farm to Family truck comes straight to your neighborhood from local farms. We never treat any of our fruits or vegetables with chemicals to make it look pretty, and as such, don’t be alarmed if you see a blemish or two! This is totally normal.
Also, as seasons change, so does the produce we can grow in our region. Not everything you find on the truck each week is 100% local. Some items were not grown locally, but rather stocked in order to round out our offerings with nutritious alternatives (like bananas, or other kid-friendly foods) for all members of a family.
