Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Note: Work is suspended until January 4 for the holidays.
FDOT offices are closed January 1.
St. Augustine — The following is a list of roadwork underway by FDOT that may impact traffic in St. Johns County.
A1A South
Nighttime lane closures weekdays from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Marshside Drive to Ocean Trace Road for installing electric poles.
Daytime lane closures Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Pope Road to 16th Street for sidewalk repairs.
Daytime lane closures Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. over Hospital Creek a half-mile west of the Vilano Beach Bridge for routine bridge maintenance
Avenida Menendez
Daytime left turn lane closure Monday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hypolita Street for business-related fumigation work.
CR-2209
Lanes are reduced to one way in each direction from Russell Sampson Road to a mile north of CR-210 for SR-9B construction. Lane reductions will be in place for the duration of the project.
SR-13
Daytime lane closures weekdays through January 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Fruit Cove Road to Racetrack Road for pavement maintenance.
SR-16
Daytime lane closures weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from CR-16A to Wards Creek Elementary School for installing drainage pipes.
I-95
Daytime shoulder closures Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from CR-210 to U.S.1 for work on the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
I-95 from north of the rest area at CR-210 to south of Old St. Augustine Road
Nighttime southbound and northbound lane closures Thursday and Friday from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for SR-9B construction.
