In a press release from Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Historic City News has learned that the St Augustine plant is scheduled to receive orders to complete roughly 10% of a nearly $60 million contract modification for work on the advanced Hawkeye military aircraft.
The company will perform non-recurring engineering, product support, engineering investigations, and software sustainment to support the E-2D Hawkeye Program.
About $30 million of the work will be performed at the Grumman plant in Melbourne; with about 14 percent to be done in Syracuse, New York.
Some minor work will be done at plants in Virginia, Indiana, California and Illinois.
