Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that a man and woman are being sought in connection with an attempted home invasion of a Flagler Estates resident this morning.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 10,000 block of Isom Ave., at 7:20 a.m. in reference to a home invasion in progress.
Major Crimes Unit Detectives met with the 55-year old male victim who stated that he was awakened by a knock on the door a short time earlier.
The victim observed a female who was requesting assistance in getting her vehicle out of a ditch. When the victim walked out he observed a male subject wearing a mask and pointing a gun.
The victim ran back inside the residence as the male subject fired two shots towards the victim.
The two suspects then ran from the residence and possibly fled in a silver colored Ford Mustang with a black convertible top, and front end and rear bumper damage.
The two suspects were white wearing blue long sleeve shirts and dark pants. The male suspect had dark hair with a goatee and the female had long red hair.
