Historic City News readers are patriotically invited to attend the General meeting of the Saint Augustine Tea Party on Tuesday evening, November 10th, at 6:30 p.m., at the Village Inn located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St. Augustine.
This month’s distinguished guest will be American patriot, Patrick Henry, in the person of Jerry Cameron, former Assistant County Administrator for St. Johns County.
“Members and guests will be treated to Cameron’s presentation of Patrick Henry’s famous Call to Arms speech,” said Lance Thate, Chairman of the local Tea Party. “He has always been an outspoken proponent of American principles and has spent more than twenty years studying the foundation of our country.”
Cameron, who held his job at the county since 2006, retired in August. Previously, he served as Police Chief in two jurisdictions, the last in Fernandina Beach where he also served as City Manager.
He is a graduate from the 150th Session of the FBI National Academy as well as the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Basic Drug Enforcement course and two Professional Enforcement Classes.
As an Adjunct and full time faculty member of the Institute of Police Technology at the University of North Florida, he lectures on public sector budgeting, police ethics, body language, interviewing and interrogation techniques.
Members and guests are encouraged to enjoy a very entertaining evening. No admission charge, so you are encouraged to bring a friend!
