Letter: We need to work together

Dear Editor:

I would like for my friends and neighbors to be aware of articles that seem to be popping up everywhere, like the one I recently read online.

We have smart people in this city and we should be able to find a way to balance the needs of tourists, who help support our businesses, Flagler College, who adds to the culture and vitality of the city and residents who add the charm and character that helps to attract those tourists here in the first place.

We need all three and we need to find a way for it to work for us.

Let’s all start looking for solutions rather than just the problems. Get on your search engine and find out what successful communities are doing to move towards this balance.

I know that if we put on our collective thinking caps we could do this. We need to work together to reach a solution.
