The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service released a “call for business plans” to Historic City News this morning; seeking a concession service provider at Anastasia State Park.
Statewide there are currently more than 90 concession operations within Florida State Parks, generating revenue for the State of Florida and creating jobs for the private sector.
“Last fiscal year nearly 540,000 people visited Anastasia State Park, generating over $41 million in direct economic impact,” Kent Whittington told local Historic City News reporters. “Possible services that could be provided at this location include food and beverage sales, recreational equipment rentals, merchandise sales and special event coordination.”
Interested parties must attend a mandatory meeting to be eligible to submit a proposal. Proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015.
The mandatory onsite meeting for this concession opportunity will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Anastasia State Park, located at 1340-A A1A South in St. Augustine. Registration is required by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28th, by e-mail.
