Historic City News has learned that the members of the St Augustine Tea Party will hold their January General Meeting tomorrow, January 27, 2015, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Inn located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St. Augustine.
The special guests will be historical re-enactors, Bruce and Janet Smith, along with Rick Haven; portraying roles of colonial characters in “The Saga of April 19, 1775”.
“The story of unrest, growing in the colonies, that led up to the American Revolutionary War, gives inspiration to Tea Party members today,” said Lance Thate, Chairman of the local organization.
Janet Smith and Rick Haven will give accounts of the sacrifice that individuals made during the battles fought at Concord and Lexington. “The Saga” is a historical chronicle of the first military engagement of the American Revolutionary War.
Thate invites all Historic City News readers to attend what promises to be an entertaining performance. There is no admission charge and the event is open to the public.

“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.”
