Tapestry:  The Cultural Threads of First America
This signature St. Augustine 450th Commemoration exhibition shares the story of how three intertwining cultures—Hispanics, Africans and Native Americans—came together to form the foundation of American culture and create the blended society of today’s St. Augustine. This state-of-the-art exhibition features authentic objects, original documents and interactive elements. The exhibition anchors a citywide passport program that connects visitors, residents and students with important historical sites and programs throughout St. Augustine and St. Johns County. Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter at the Corazon Cinema and Café
At 7 p.m., the historic Corazon Cinema and Cafe presents Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter (Rated R). Rinko Kikuchi (Babel) stars in the unique journey as a jaded Japanese woman who discovers a hidden copy of Fargo (1996) on VHS. Believing it to be a treasure map, she heads to Fargo in search for a large case of money. Tickets are $8 for adults; $7 for students, military and seniors. Food service, beer and wine are available throughout the day as well as during the film. 21st Annual Florida Skimboarding Pro/Am Tournament
The world’s second-most prestigious skimboarding event takes place at Vilano Beach just across the inlet from St. Augustine. More professional skimboarders compete in this event than any other—many started the tour in the spring in Brazil. The Vilano Beach tournament is one of eight that decide the World Skimboarding Champion. Features men’s and women’s professional divisions, as well as amateurs. For more information, call (904) 540-1189.

Family Seining at the GTM Research Reserve
Join GTM Research Reserve docents from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. to learn how to pull a seine net collecting species of fish, crabs and more. Learn about the animals and their roles in the habitat. Waders and boots will be provided.
