“I don’t think St. Augustine is very food truck friendly,” said Jennifer Klein who runs Up in Smoke BBQ.
Historic City News learns that Jacksonville food trucks looking to capitalize on the crowds expected to descend on St. Augustine for the city’s 450th anniversary will find themselves out of luck.
During yesterday afternoon’s meeting of the Visitor Convention Bureau, Communications Director Kathy Catron said that “itinerant businesses” will not be allowed to set up near or within the footprint of the celebration.
Kline was quoted in yesterday’s Jacksonville Business Journal saying that she and other members of a coalition of Jacksonville food truck owners have found limited success when traveling to St Augustine.
