Vilano Beach and St Augustine South added to bus route

The Sunshine Bus Company is the only form of public transportation in St. Johns County; it was started in May of 2000 as a partnership between the Council on Aging and the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners.

At first there were only two routes; one running north and south and the other traveling east and west.

However, with the addition of this new connector, the Sunshine Bus Company will be servicing a total of seven routes throughout St. Johns County.

Hesson predicts the ridership tally for 2015 to be somewhere around 270,000 passengers.

The Sunshine Bus Company is available to riders of all ages. There are monthly bus passes and discounts for seniors and students.
