Wednesday walks with Mayor Shaver

I am pleased to be volunteering to assist Mayor Shaver in scheduling her “Walk with the Mayor” events each month, and I would like to invite all Historic City News readers to come out and join us.

It’s time to enjoy the great outdoors in our beautiful city, get some exercise and engage in pleasant conversation.

Mayor Nancy Shaver thinks that’s a great idea and she’d like to do that with you. Meet and greet, walk and talk in your own neighborhood with Mayor Shaver. Share your ideas or concerns, ask questions, or just enjoy a healthy stroll.

Mayor Shaver will be walking in the Lincolnville Neighborhood on Wednesday, May 27th. So far, the Walks have been very successful; the rain stayed away, and the people came; we’ve had great turnouts.

You can start the walk with her at 6:00 p.m. outside St. Cyprian’s Church, on the corner of M.L. King Ave. and Lovett Street, or, if you prefer, watch out for us and join in along the way.

We’ll just be easin’ on down the road. We hope to bump into you. See you then.
