St Johns County Fire Rescue Heavy Rescue crews responded to a home in the 1000 block of Greyfield Drive in Stonehurst Plantation earlier this evening after the owner said he accidentally backed his car into his house.
Spokesman Jeremy Robshaw told Historic City News reporters that neither the driver nor any of the occupants of the residence required transportation for medical treatment.
The driver of the vehicle told officers at the scene that he unintentionally hit the accelerator, backed into the garage, and hit the back wall.
First Coast News is reporting that a temporary wall has been set up to protect the home.
St Johns County sheriff’s deputies are on the scene and will investigate the circumstances of the crash. There is no evidence of foul play.
