Many Historic City News readers have been enjoying the Annual Christmas Parade in St Augustine for the past 62-years.
The 2016 edition of the Annual Christmas Parade, held December 3, 2016, is one of the largest of its type in northeast Florida and includes festive holiday floats, marching bands, antique cars, horse-drawn carriages and the long-awaited arrival of Santa Claus.
Lots of local organizations participated in this year’s parade that started promptly at 9:00 a.m. and made its way from the Mission of Nombre de Dios at 27 Ocean Ave., proceeding south through downtown and then concluding behind the Visitors Information Center located at 10 West Castillo Drive.
Spectators lined the city streets to watch the hour-long parade and many returned to the Plaza de la Constitution to have pictures taken with Santa.
