Ponte Vedra Beach Attorney and Former Congressional Candidate, 57-year-old Malcolm Anthony, announced his candidacy for Circuit Judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit; which includes St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia and Putnam counties.
Following the recent redistricting by the Florida Supreme Court which divided St. Johns County into two Congressional Districts, Anthony told Historic City News today that he has decided to withdraw from the congressional race.
“After much consideration, I believe the time has come for me to offer my years of experience to the people of St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia, and Putnam counties as your Circuit Judge,” Anthony told local Historic City News reporters.
Anthony is a 32-year member of the Florida Bar; both as a prosecutor and as a private attorney.
“I know the value of having a well-seasoned judge on the bench. One who has been professionally involved in the challenges people face regarding the law,” Anthony said in his announcement.
“I can be a judge who understands the application of justice from all sides,” he concluded.
