US Congressman Ron DeSantis has contacted FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate today in an effort to further expedite opening of Disaster Recovery Centers and Business Recovery Centers in District 6 under the operational direction of both the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration.
DeSantis, a St Johns County resident, told Historic City News local reporters that he has offered his own office’s assistance in accomplishing this critical mission.
“Establishing these recovery centers and having federal employees on-the-ground in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties will expedite recovery,” the congressman said in a letter released this morning. “It is my hope that FEMA and the Small Business Administration can set up recovery centers throughout our district in order to provide personal assistance to our neighbors in need.”
