St. Johns County is partnering with The Federal Emergency Management Agency to host a Hurricane Matthew Federal Assistance Workshop on Wednesday evening according to an announcement received by Historic City News today.
The workshop will open November 9th at the County Administration Building located at 500 San Sebastian View in St Augustine at 5:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m.
There will be a general session providing information about FEMA services and the registration process.
Breakout sessions will then be held with subject-matter experts providing information regarding specific components of the recovery process including:
- individual assistance
- business assistance
- other storm-related services
Representatives from the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the US Small Business Administration, and various state agencies will also be at the center to answer questions and provide assistance.
The Hurricane Matthew Federal Assistance Workshop is being held in the community during evening hours to provide impacted residents and businesses with a convenient opportunity to obtain additional recovery assistance.
The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center continues to be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, in the St. Johns County Wind Mitigation Building, 3111 Agricultural Center Drive. Many services available at the disaster recovery centers are also available by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov or calling the FEMA helpline at 800.621.3362.
